[1901-1909]
Please do forgive me for not writing you to ever thank you for the interesting cards and letters. When I read them it seems that I am in another world, for the time at least. Hope you are much better by this time. I have not been ill since I came here have gained about 10 lbs in weight with all the hard work long hours, classes every night, no recreation. Now things have let up a little so have hopes of a little pleasure. Nellie Esther and Miss [Lucianne?] all write to me sometimes I will send you one of Esther's letters she has improved very much yes some time we must go back to it. Poor Miss J I pity her. Dr. B. wrote and offered me Miss Fuller's position. It is vacation time now and I have asked for Sept 1st but may not get it. The first chance will try and write you a long letter. Write back With best wishes for you all, yours, S.A.H. Sears | May 19 09 New York Hospital from 16th St. The nurses home and Private Patients Building is on 16th St with a court yard in center.
